About Robert Douglas

Robert Douglas

I am a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Real Estate in Seattle, Washington. An occupation which I thoroughly enjoy. With my background in law, construction, and film I have a diverse life experience and am proficient in many areas.

My undergraduate studies included study in the Pearson Integrated Humanities Honors program at the University of Kansas. In 1980 I graduated with a combined degree in Business and Civil Engineering. As a result my interests span music, literature, physics, religion and law. Hence the rather eclectic collection of links on this website.

In 1984 I graduated from the Washburn University School of Law, then practiced corporate law for 5 years before moving to Seattle. When I moved to Seattle I fully intending to continue the practice of law. But once in Seattle I became involved in the Northwest film and video community producing various corporate and commercial videos for Holland America Line, Grayline of Alaska, and Boeing. I also spent five years as a freelance cameraman with my own gear and worked on many unique projects from news reports for CNN to music videos for Seattle bands.

In 1991 I produced "The Landlady" a stage play written and directed by award winning playwright William Winship. The play was produced with grants from the Seattle Arts Commission and Boeing. I produced a documentary film that included rare archival footage from the Boeing film archives entitled, "Pioneers In Aviation," which was nominated for a regional Emmy and appeared nationwide on PBS in the fall of 2002 as well as in 2003 during the Centennial of the Wright Brothers first flight on PBS.
